BIO
RYAN KAMINSKI has been writing songs and playing in bands since he was fifteen years old. Since 2012 he’s been focused on his work as a solo artist. His live show features upbeat pop/rock covers from the 1950s-today as well as original music. As a multi-instrumentalist, Ryan performs on acoustic & electric guitar, ukulele, beatbox/percussion, and incorporates live looping into many of his songs. His background in choral music allows him to loop multiple layers of backing vocals, giving some songs a retro, doo-wop feel. In 2014, Ryan released his debut EP of original music, Where It Starts.
In addition to entertaining as a solo artist, Ryan is active in many other aspects of the Buffalo music community: Ryan is currently the Vocal/General Music Teacher at St. Mary’s High School in Lancaster; he was part of the Artie-award winning ensemble of Urinetown with Subversive Theatre; he is an active member of one of Buffalo’s finest choral ensembles, Harmonia Chamber Singers; he is the founder/director of the Lancaster Depew Community Chorus, and he serves as music director for the Lancaster Youth Bureau Summer Performing Arts Academy. Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and his masters in Choral Conducting from Mansfield University.
